At the Fraunhofer Center for Energy Storage and Systems ZESS in Braunschweig, the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST, the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS are pooling their expertise to develop sustainable, safe battery and hydrogen technologies. Working closely with the Technical University of Braunschweig and as an associated partner of BLB+, Fraunhofer ZESS is working to advance the market readiness of mobile and stationary energy storage systems and strengthen the technological sovereignty of Germany and Europe.
